Nerves pt. 9

Hope everyone is having a great day! Now that Camp NaNoWriMo is officially over and my first draft complete, I can fully devote my attention to Nerves. YAY! I’ve been working on this story quite a bit–tons of plotting, planning and outlining–I’m excited about the direction it is taking. There is so much more here than I could have ever anticipated 😀 But we can discuss all that at a later date. Continue reading

Nerves 6b

This is a little late getting posted, I apologize. Things have been a little hectic today with family set to arrive at any moment. This portion is hot off the presses and has only gone through quick read through, so please pardon any errors. We pick up the story right where we left off in 6a. If you haven’t read that installment or the previous ones, then you might want to go do that first. (Start here) Continue reading

Nerves 6a

Welcome to another installation of Nerves. This part is a little bit shorter than some of the others and I like to quickly explain why. I started writing this section with a clear plan in mind, however, Lily and her pal’s had other plans. About half way through this scene, I realized that it was going to end up being too long for one post (well, longer than I like for these posts to be). I decided to break it into two portions: 6a and 6b. The second part will be posted later this week. Continue reading

Nerves pt.5

Happy Saturday to one and all! I hope you’re having a wonderful, productive weekend so far. As the title suggests, this is part five of Nerves. For this section, we’re back in Lily’s POV. I really enjoyed writing this scene because we’ve all, at one time or another, been through what Lily’s is experiencing. She is so much fun to write and constantly has me chuckling. I hope you enjoy! Continue reading

Nerves pt.4

Happy Tuesday everyone. As mentioned, this is part four of my little impromptu serial, even if I am posting it a little late. We’ve been without internet all day thanks to the selfish individuals who decided to steal all of the wiring from the neighborhood cable boxes. Please forgive any typos or grammar errors I may have overlooked as this was written and posted from my phone. Fingers crossed the Internet (and along with it, order) will be restored soon.

Finn’s trip was not off to a great start. Thanks to the cab’s late arrival and construction on the interstate, he’d had to sprint through the airport toward his gate, barely making his flight. Once boarded, he found the seat he’d been assigned was directly in the middle of a couple who were experiencing domestic issues. When asked if they wanted to sit next to each other they both declined, the woman stating she didn’t even want to be ‘sharing the same planet with that loser, let alone sit next to him.’ To which the man made some comment about how she’d shared a lot with him last night. Needless to say, it had been a long, tension filled flight.

Upon arrival, Finn learned, although he’d made it to the plane in time, his bag hadn’t been so lucky. According to the airline, his luggage was…well, they weren’t exactly sure where his luggage had ended up or if it’d even left Houston. He filled out the necessary paperwork, praying it’d be located and delivered soon.
